Winter Stories

Mural for the Winter Stories project by Fresh Concept and Eke Panuku Development Auckland (2018). A chance to share knowledge and stories from the diverse community of Northcote (Auckland, NZ). In a vacant store in Northcote’s cultural centre, a pop-up gallery and workshop captured and exhibited immersive winter stories across audio, visual, and written media. From the first encounter with snow to favourite hearty meals, residents and visitors expressed their own experiences of the cooler months and reasons why they enjoy winter.
